I’m Jane, and I am attempting to make a career and life for myself through baking and cooking.

I adore baking and cooking, probably too much, but I haven’t been able to find anything else in life that takes my fancy more, apart from getting a puppy… but that is still yet to happen.

I am 22, I have graduated from Ashburton Chefs Academy in June 2014 as a trained chef, and I live on the South Coast of the UK.

When I was little, my Gran made my 1st ever birthday cake, apparently it was bright pink but I obviously don’t remember this! My family always say that I am so similar to her and that we have the same love for cooking and experimentation, so I hope she is proud of me up in the clouds!

I would say my baking habit started at Junior School, but only really kicked into gear when I was at High School! I remember them having the occasional bake sale at Christmas, and one year I made a yule log, shamefully I came 2nd place, and I was always convinced the winner had bought their cake from a shop! I realise now that that was probably not the case, but I was young! I always wanted to bake for friends birthdays, and family occasions, and going to Cookery School definitely helped my confidence and experimentation to try my own recipes!

I love to research in to recipes daily, and experiment, so I hope you like the results! I try recipes from Celebrity Chef’s, other Food Bloggers, and just recipes I come across whether in a magazine, or on the internet! Some experimentations don’t work quite so well, but others work truly brilliantly and have amazing feedback from my trusty Taste Testers.

My dream is to open a Bakery/Tea Rooms when I am older (and have enough money) and start decorating cakes professionally, and selling baked goods for all occasions! I also want to release cookery books and help bakers all over the world!

Feel free to leave comments or requests 🙂

Just had a look through some of your recent blog posts and I genuinely mean it when I say that I want to eat all of them and that very rarely happens even on a great food blog! Keep it up, I look forward to reading your future posts and getting recipe inspiration from you! Good luck with the bakery/ tea room dream!
